OUR STORY

Many years ago, as a younger traveler visiting Agra to see the Taj Mahal, I noticed several men in worn clothes sitting just outside the gates, meticulously rubbing small pieces of colored stone against flat slabs. I later learned they were shaping stones by hand for traditional marble inlay handicrafts.

Years later, while hosting a Canadian delegation at an upscale marble gift store in Delhi, that memory came flooding back. The showroom was pristine and beautifully lit. Yet tucked away in a dimly lit corner on a torn mat sat an elderly artisan using a small electric grinder to shape stones. While our guests bought souvenir pieces, I couldn’t stop thinking about the stark contrast between the wealth in the showroom and the neglect of the craftsman making it all possible.

Those two moments, years apart, sparked a realization: the world’s most talented, hardworking artisans are frequently exploited or overlooked by traditional retail. Deep technical skill and rich cultural traditions are left under-resourced, lacking access to a fair global stage.

While mass production has its place, it should never erase traditional craftsmanship - the two can and must coexist. I founded Curators Finds to bridge this gap. We act as curators who actively seek out hidden global talent, delivering sustainable and eco-friendly products directly to consumers.

By removing logistical barriers - such as establishing simple, free pickup arrangements via local drop-off points - we ensure an artisan’s location or circumstances are never an obstacle to their success. We don't judge the realities or hardships of our artisan partners' lives; we accept the world as it is and offer a truly non-judgmental platform built on dignity and respect for their craft.

When you shop at Curators Finds, you aren’t just purchasing a product—you are supporting a global ecosystem that honors the creator exactly where they stand.
